A strange bird

This is a great frigate bird. These birds can puff out their inflatable pouch to almost the full size of their body - a display used to attract the opposite sex. Photo source

I've seen these birds in action! They're the funniest things, although the males can be quite cruel to each other when picking out a nesting spot. They have been known to ride out cyclones! One cyclone though wiped out more than 200 birds, and it's taken them 11 years to recover.
