The hairiest girl in the world

Remember Antonietta Gonzalez, a little girl afflicted with hypertrichosis, made famous because of a painting in the 1600's?
Another little girl, Supatra Sasuphan, is now famous for the same medical reason.
Guinness World Record has officially recognized Supatra as the world's hairiest girl.
The 11-year-old Thai girl from Bangkok has gradually been embraced by her community, and became a popular and outgoing child even though at one time she was teased and called 'wolf girl' and 'monkey face'.
Supatra is one of just 50 known sufferers of Ambras Syndrome (Hypertrichosis) - caused by a faulty chromosome - to be documented since the Middle Ages. Before the disease was understood, sufferers were branded 'werewolves.'
She has thick hair growing over her face, ears, arms, legs and back. Even laser treatment has failed to stop the hair growth.
As Supatra grows older, her hair is becoming thicker. Her mother trims it regularly.

Cheryl Davis' horse Remington may turn out to be the world's tallest horse. Davis, of Princeton, Texas, hopes to get Remington into the Guinness Book of World Records as the tallest living horse.
The current record holder, Radar, is a Belgian draft horse from Mount Pleasant, Texas.
Remington, a Clydesdale, measures 6 feet, 8 inches from hoof to shoulder, says Davis — only a quarter of an inch or half an inch taller than the reigning horse.
But the formal measurement, she says, will be done by a vet on Friday and Saturday, one with his shoes on and one with his shoes off.

A lot of bull
Chilli is a black and white Friesian bullock who weighs well over a ton and at the same height as a small elephant, casts a shadow over his cattle companions who are about 5 ft.
Chilli is 6 feet tall, so his owners have contacted the Guinness Book of Records who are currently assessing his credentials and comparing them to other big bovines.
The heifer, who is almost as high as he is long, lives at the Ferne Animal Sanctuary in Chard, Somerset, after he was left on their doorstep aged just six-days-old.

Big Horses
At 6ft 6ins and still growing, Digger the Clydesdale has become Britain's biggest horse, according to the Daily Mail.
Best estimates put the strapping Clydesdale at 19 hands and two inches (6ft 6in) - on a par with Britain's biggest living horse.
And at just four years old, Digger is the equivalent in equine terms to a teenager so there is still time for him to grow.
Tina, from Niota, Tennessee is now in the Guinness Book of World Records for 2008 as the Tallest Horse in the World.
At 20 hands tall, Tina is nearly seven feet tall. She has taken the top spot from former record holder Radar who is a little more than 19 hands tall.
Tina should have no problem holding on to her new title. Her owners expect her to continuing growing, topping out around 23 hands.
