Three people in the central Arizona community of Cottonwood were exposed to rabies after being attacked by a wild bobcat. It all began when the animal attacked and scratched a woman who had gotten out of her car after thinking she had hit it. A short time later, Cottonwood police got a report of a bobcat acting aggressively toward a woman outside a Pizza Hut. Then, about an hour later, the bobcat wandered into the Chapparal Bar on Main Street forcing patrons up on their barstools. Two men who were bitten before police shot and killed the animal in the parking lot. Test later confirmed it was rabid. Source (via Perez Hilton)

This bobcat is potty trained
Ginger has lived with Sharon Glidden since the cat was three weeks old. Sharon has trained her as lovingly and as carefully as she could considering her wild nature.
Sharon happened to be alone one day when this bobcat did something surprising. Ginger the bobcat started using the toilet. "Well, when she was 6 or 7 months old, she saw me go and I got up to brush my teeth and she decided she needed to go," said Glidden.
It was a little indelicate, but Sharon had to prove to her husband she wasn't crazy, so she grabbed her video camera.
A couple of weeks later Ginger was using her bathroom three times a day and it wasn't a big deal anymore.

Woman unwittingly rescues injured bobcat
MOBILE, Ala. - A woman who helped rescue an injured cat on the roadside got a surprise when a veterinarian told her it was a wild and potentially dangerous bobcat.
Liza Eldred, her teenage daughter and the girl's friend found the female bobcat Saturday on U.S. 98 in south Baldwin County, wrapped it in a sweatshirt and drove it to an animal clinic for treatment.
Veterinarian Andy Duke said the women were "extremely lucky" that the bobcat, which had a broken paw, did not panic and injure them.
They were in "a lot of danger," Duke said.
